Material Exploration (Water )

These are the works I created using Water as my medium.

For this piece, I decided to to grind up blue pastels and mix it with water, than I used a papertowel and  repeatedly started to dab the background of the paper trying to create an art deco impression.

For this work, I drew this design on the paper while outlining it with tape. Than after I drew it I took water from a paint brush and sprayed it, creating this spray effect on this piece.
For this work, I mixed water and Ink and blew it across the paper creating this natural free flowing effect.

For this work, I wanted to create a crater effect using water, so I poured the water on the paper alowing it to puddle, afterward I took Black & Grey charcol and ground it into flacks over the water, once I had finished I let the work dry, while also applying a papertowel to the water to absourb only the water. Than it left these shapes which I accented with a dark background.

For this work, I started to use the water to paint, than I came back over everything with pastel shavings to add color, I also experimented using different gray scale papers.

For this work, I put it on a white paper, and sprayed the paper with water, and again added more pastels to the wet water to create this water effect.
With this work, I used a Black sheet of paper to experiment and see how it would show up, I first started by painting an infinity symbol, but than started to cover it up with water sprays and more pastel. I really liked how you could see whe light colors on the dark paper, I feel like it adds more depth to the work.
And for this work, I put it on a darker grayscale paper, and painted three lines with water, than quickly applied pastel crumbs over the work. I repeated this process a few times and started to layer the pastels and got a lot of really cool textures.
